RAJA AMPAT 2023

COMING SOON In 2023 we decided to go back to one of the most beautifull dive locations in the world: Raja Ampat. During our trip in 2017 we had such a great experience that we just had to come back to this amazing place. Due to the very positive experiance with Papua diving, we decided to go back to Kri Island ( Raja Ampat – West Papua)

Turtle rescue

While filming a sea turtle Edwin discovered that the turtle has a hook in his mouth with a fishing line attached to it which was wrapped around the turtles fin. The turtle was not able to swim and probably also not able to eat anymore because it could hardly open his mouth. With help of a knife Edwin was able to cut the line and release the fin of the turtle.

Palau 2022

Ever since our Brotherdive in 2015 we always told eachother that we should go back to Palau Just because the diving in Palau is so amazing, and we had the feeling that we haven't seen it all..... This footage was shot over 17 dives on the Tubbataha reefs and the Jessie Beazley Reef on the 17th till the 22nd of March 2019. Unfortunately, due to bad weather conditions, we were not able to dive on all the sites we’ve hoped for.... Never the less, we made some amazing dives on Tubbataha!

An impression of scuba diving with Extra Divers around Nabucco Island. The Maratua Atoll is located in the Celebes Sea, and contains one of the most beautiful underwater habitats in the world. The dive sites are captivating due to their biodiversity and the nutrient rich currents coming from the Pacific Ocean. Some of the highlights are “The Channel”, also known as “Big Fish Country”, Sangalaki; World famous for it's Mantas.

Raja Ampat - Blue Magic

Besides being home to large schools of fish and various species of shark, blue magic is also one of the reefs most visited by oceanic manta rays. Sitting in the middle of the “blue” makes this site truly “magical” divesite. This is the one site where anything can happen…. and it usually does! Be ready for an amazing dive here!

Right on our door step of Papua Divers, Cape Kri was made famous by its world record fish count of 374 species on a single dive! Boasting a wide variety of corals and big predatory species as well as tiny critters, it's no wonder Cape Kri is one of the worlds best reef dives!

Raja Ampat - Sardines

One of the most requested dive sites in Raja Ampat for a reason! The diversity in fish life here is amazing. White tip reef sharks, hunting trevally, pygmy seahorses and schooling batfish are only a few of the highlights that await divers at this extraordinary site. An oval shaped reef patch, it sits right in the middle of some open ocean. This is also a great site to spot some less common species, like Oceanic Triggerfish and Bump head Parrotfish.

While Edwin was on a scuba diving holiday in October on Bali, Marcel decided to join his brother on Bali to celebrate Edwin’s birthday.... This pleasant (birthday) surprise resulted in a 3 day (micro) Brotherdive in the beautiful waters around Bali (Nusa Penida). View our best underwater footage collected over these 6 dives.

Hurghada - Egypt

Due to private circumstances it was not possible to plan a official Brotherdive in 2014. However we've managed to dive a couple of days together during one of our family holidays in the Red Sea around Hurghada. With only four common dives we label this as being a 'Micro Brother Dive'.

Malaysia - Mabul

Mabul, just a 20 minute boat ride from Sipadan The triangle between Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines is one of the most bio-diverse marine habitats in the world. Strong ocean currents, deep sea trenches and sea mounts, combined with active volcanic islands have created a complex oceanographic environment that is paradise for divers. The beauty of this region lies in it's diversity.

Mabul & Sipadan

Malaysia - Kapalai

Kapalai is the third point of the famous 'Golden Triangle', with Sipadan and Mabul being the other two. Kapalai is not a true island but a sandbar on which they build a resort on. Kapalai is, like Mabul, also a 20 minutes boatride from Sipadan. While the resort was originally built for it's proximity to world-famous Sipadan, we also discovered the paradise that awaited just beneath the resort.

Indonesia - Bunaken

Bunaken is a small tropical island approximately 15 km from Manado on the mainland of North Sulawesi. Scuba diving around the Bunaken islands is terrific. The entire area is protected via the 'Bunaken Marine Park'. The up to 1600 meters deep waters around Bunaken gives you the opportunity to experience some of the best wall diving experiences in the world!

The Lembeh strait - Critters paradise The Lembeh strait is located between the Lembeh Island and the mainland in the North Eastern part of North Sulawesi. Diving in Lembeh is like jumping into a world of tiny strange and weird creatures. Lembeh Strait is known as the "muck diving" capital of the world.

Maldives - Vilamendhoo

Our first 'BrotherDive' It all started with this holiday..... The island is a total dream for diving addicts, with over 50 dive sites and a fantastic house reef with 10 entry points, Vilamendhoo is the perfect diver’s paradise. Most of the dive sites are between 10 minutes and 1 hour away from the island.
