Raja Ampat is world renowned for its rich marine biodiversity and stunning underwater landscapes!

Update January 2026
New section available: (3D) Wrecks
Despite the many similarities in diving, we differ somewhat in our underwater interests. Marcel is more focused on macro life, and Edwin is a more enthusiastic wreck diver.
On this page we like to share some specific wreck dives we made during our BrotherDive trips but also separately made by Edwin.

Update October 2023
New video online: "Turtle rescue" Raja Ampat 2023
While filming a sea turtle Edwin discovered that the turtle has a hook in his mouth with a fishing line attached to it which was wrapped around the turtles fin.
The turtle was not able to swim and probably also not able to eat anymore because it could hardly open his mouth.
With help of a knife Edwin was able to cut the line and release the fin of the turtle.

Brotherdive 2022: Another try to reach Palau !
Due to the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic we had to reschedule our trip to Palau for the 4th time……
We finaly visited Palau in March 2022
We managed to travel to Palau 2 years after the initial schedule…

Update March 2020
Brotherdive 2020 Palau update !
Unfortunately our brotherdive 2020 ended in a complete disappointment due to the Corona virus travel restrictions.
We left Holland on the 16th on March toward Dubai, from Dubai we flew towards Manila in the Philippines we’re we arrived on the 18th.
The last part of this trip was the flight from Manila towards Koror (Palau), with United airlines.
At the check-in we were told that they could fly us to Koror (Palau), however our planned return trip on the 27th from Koror back to Manila was not possible due to a total shutdown of all airport activities (including International flights) on Manila as from the 20th of March.
One hour before our check-in the Philippine government announced that from the 20th of March until (at least) the 13th of April the complete Luzon Island would be closed for all airport activities.
For that reason we had to return to Holland.
Hopefully we will be able to visit Palau in the near future…
